One of the Tampa metro's quickly growing suburbs, Riverview, FL spreads along the Alafia River in southeastern Hillsborough County. New rooftops keep going up here, and imaging centers and therapy centers have followed the population into the newer developments. US-301 is the main road through town, with I-75 running along the western edge and the Selmon Expressway carrying commuters the dozen or so miles northwest into downtown Tampa. Brandon sits just to the north, and MacDill Air Force Base is a manageable drive west. Housing is newer and was long a relative bargain, though prices have climbed with the area's growth. For major flights and the largest hospitals, the drive is into Tampa proper, and the Gulf beaches in Pinellas are farther still.
