Explore Chesapeake, VA

Across a huge footprint at the southern edge of Hampton Roads, Chesapeake, VA threads suburban corridors between working farmland and the wild edge of the Great Dismal Swamp. Travel RNs here pick up emergency and labor and delivery assignments, with the wider metro's hospital systems adding contract options across the bridges and tunnels. Geography drives the daily logistics; tunnel traffic can dominate a commute, so travelers match housing to their campus side early. Rentals run suburban and reasonable against the region's beach cities. The swamp refuge offers trails and blackwater paddling minutes from subdivisions, an odd and wonderful contrast, and Virginia Beach's oceanfront runs about thirty minutes east for the standard-issue beach days off.
