I-82 is the principal route, joined by US-12 from the Cascades and US-97, with the Tri-Cities about eighty miles southeast and the Yakama Nation reservation just south. Over the Cascades, Seattle is roughly two and a half hours west on I-82 and I-90 for bigger needs.
