Explore Myrtle Beach, SC

Tourism runs the economy of Myrtle Beach, SC, and the healthcare market moves with it; summer multiplies the population along the Grand Strand and pushes emergency volume up with it, while winter settles into serving year-round retirees. Travel RNs cover emergency and medical-surgical assignments through both seasons. Housing logic inverts the tourist map, with rentals a few blocks off the beach costing dramatically less than oceanfront and avoiding the summer traffic crawl on the main drags. The MarshWalk at Murrells Inlet strings waterfront restaurants along the tidal creek fifteen minutes south. Off-season is the local secret; from October through April the beaches empty out, prices drop. The place feels like a different town.
