Step-By-Step Process NJ Nursing License by Endorsement

  1. Create/Access Your NJ BON Account 
  2. Upload Identification Documents

  3. Complete Background Check & Fingerprinting
    • If you live in the NJ metro area, schedule digital fingerprinting when you receive instructions by mail.

Steps for NJ Licensure by Examination

  1. Create an account: New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs portal → “Initial Candidate.”
  2. Apply & pay: Submit the online application, upload a recent 2″×2″ passport-style photo, and pay required fees.

New Jersey may grant a temporary courtesy license to eligible military members and spouses relocating to NJ.
