FAQs – Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Jobs Near Little Rock, AR

What license do I need for travel PTA jobs?
Nearly every state licenses or certifies PTAs, so you'll need that credential for the assignment state or a PT Compact privilege. The compact includes PTAs: your home state must be an active member, you must be licensed there (typically as your state of residence), have no discipline in the past two years, and the assignment state must be actively issuing. Our PT Compact guide walks through it.
What supervision do travel PTAs work under?
Supervision requirements depend on the state and setting. Some roles require the PT to be on site, while others allow general supervision with regular availability and check-ins. Ask how supervision is structured, how reassessments are handled, and how quickly you can reach the supervising PT when a patient's status changes.
What productivity and caseload should I expect on a travel PTA assignment?
It depends on the setting. SNF and outpatient jobs may use productivity or patients-per-day targets, inpatient rehab may involve a full daily treatment schedule across a wider acuity range, and home health is often organized around visits and travel time. Ask for the expected daily volume, documentation time, and ramp-up period before accepting.

Benefits

  • Day One Benefits, Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k)
  • Relocation and Travel Reimbursement
  • Dedicated team to help with state licensing & renewals
  • Weekly Direct Deposit
  • $1,000 Referral Bonus + $250 Bonus for Your Referral

Explore Little Rock, AR

Arkansas makes a strong case for travelers who enjoy both outdoor scenery and lively smaller cities. Bentonville’s art museums and Fayetteville’s university culture sit near the Ozarks, while Little Rock offers a capital-city mix of restaurants, history, and riverfront parks. Physical therapy is part of Little Rock’s academic medical community, with outpatient rehabilitation also available in northwest Arkansas. The Buffalo National River offers paddling below limestone bluffs through the Ozark countryside, a destination for a longer outing. Hot Springs adds preserved bathhouses and a national park woven into downtown. Beyond the cities, clear rivers and wooded ridges invite paddling, fishing, or a scenic drive. Autumn color changes the mountain regions, while the Delta’s blues heritage provides a separate cultural reason to explore the eastern side of the state.
