Explore Petaluma, CA

Once the self-styled egg basket of the world, Petaluma, CA still keeps the look of an old river town at the south end of Sonoma County. US-101 runs south toward Novato and San Rafael in Marin and north to Santa Rosa, with the SMART train following a similar line for travelers skipping the drive. Diagnostic imaging and PT sites sit mostly near the historic downtown and along that corridor, an easy reach from one another. Housing tends to run easier here than deeper into Marin, though the southbound commute toward San Francisco can crawl. The Petaluma River and the brick downtown give travelers a walkable stretch of cafes and shops after a shift.
