Explore Augusta, GA

Each spring the Masters turns Augusta, GA into a national destination for a week, but the rest of the year it runs as a working regional center on the Savannah River at the South Carolina line. Its established medical district gives travelers a deep base of radiology and rehab assignments serving eastern Georgia and the neighboring counties across the river. I-20 crosses east-west toward Atlanta and Columbia, while the I-520 Bobby Jones beltway loops the south and west sides past Fort Eisenhower. Augusta is Georgia's third-largest city, with a consolidated city-county government covering Richmond County. Golf week aside, that medical district gives travelers a broad regional market to work through the year.
