FAQs – Travel Occupational Therapy Jobs Near Urbana, IL

What certifications are required for travel Occupational Therapy jobs?
Facilities typically require current NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR), along with BLS certification. You also need authorization to practice in the assignment’s state. Your recruiter can confirm exact requirements for this position.
How much experience do I need for a travel Occupational Therapy assignment?
Many travel OT assignments prefer at least one year of experience, ideally in the same setting as the job. Requirements vary, and some facilities consider therapists with less experience. Relevant skills include independently completing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing a daily caseload.
Is an Illinois OT license required for this travel contract?
Yes. Illinois is not an OT Compact member, so an occupational therapist licensed elsewhere must obtain an active Illinois license before beginning this contract. New applications are submitted through IDFPR’s CORE licensing system, with supporting professional records provided as required. An out-of-state license or compact privilege issued for another jurisdiction does not transfer legal authority to practice in Illinois. Confirm current fees, requirements, and application steps with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

  • Relocation and Travel Reimbursement
