FAQs – Travel Physical Therapy Jobs Near Louisville, KY

What productivity and caseload do travel PT jobs expect?
Expectations vary more by setting than by employer. Outpatient clinics may track patients per day, SNFs often use productivity targets, acute care combines visits with discharge planning, and home health may use visit or point systems. Ask for the actual target and ramp-up expectations before accepting.
Will I supervise PTAs on a travel PT assignment?
Frequently, yes. Some facilities pair travel PTs with one or more PTAs, so the role may include plans of care, reassessments, delegation, and supervision in addition to your own caseload. Ask how many PTAs you will supervise and what the state, setting, payer, and facility require.
Can my compact privilege cover this Kentucky travel PT contract?
Yes—with an active license in a compact-member home state and PT Compact eligibility met, you can practice under a Kentucky privilege for this travel PT contract. Kentucky requires its jurisprudence examination for the initial privilege and each renewal. Full Kentucky licensure applicants complete fingerprinting for state and federal criminal background checks. Visit the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy for current requirements and application steps.

Benefits

  • Day One Benefits, Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k)
  • Relocation and Travel Reimbursement
  • Dedicated team to help with state licensing & renewals
  • Weekly Direct Deposit
  • $1,000 Referral Bonus + $250 Bonus for Your Referral

Kentucky’s Bluegrass region combines a substantial rehabilitation community in Lexington with horse country and a lively university city. Louisville has museums, independent restaurants, and Ohio River neighborhoods; eastern Kentucky offers Appalachian heritage and mountain scenery. Berea is known for traditional crafts, while southern Kentucky’s caves and western lake country create very different outdoor destinations. Bourbon history is also part of Kentucky’s landscape. Horse farm tours, college basketball, and regional food offer other ways to experience a state where city life and deeply rooted local traditions frequently meet.
