Explore Towson, MD

Towson, MD blends a college town and a county-government seat just north of Baltimore, inside the I-695 Beltway. Allied work runs through diagnostic labs and rehabilitation clinics near the hospital campuses and the universities. I-83, the Jones Falls Expressway, runs south into downtown Baltimore and north toward Pennsylvania, while York Road threads the business district north and south. Towson University and Goucher College give the area a large student base. Towson Town Center anchors the retail core. Housing stays in demand, so travelers often look to Parkville or Lutherville nearby. York Road and the Beltway both clog at peak hours, so a base close to the assignment trims the drive.
