FAQs – Travel Occupational Therapy Jobs Near Jackson, MI

What certifications are required for travel Occupational Therapy jobs?
Facilities typically require current NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR), along with BLS certification. You also need authorization to practice in the assignment’s state. Your recruiter can confirm exact requirements for this position.
How much experience do I need for a travel Occupational Therapy assignment?
Many travel OT assignments prefer at least one year of experience, ideally in the same setting as the job. Requirements vary, and some facilities consider therapists with less experience. Relevant skills include independently completing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing a daily caseload.
Is Michigan’s OT Compact option available for this travel contract?
A Michigan OT Compact privilege cannot be used yet. Although Michigan has enacted the Compact, implementation has not reached the application stage, so an active Michigan occupational therapist license is still required for this contract. An out-of-state license alone therefore does not authorize Michigan practice. Applicants use Michigan LARA’s licensing process and complete the applicable credential verification, criminal-background, and required training steps. Confirm current fees, requirements, and application steps with the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.

Benefits

  • Day One Benefits, Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k)
  • Relocation and Travel Reimbursement
  • Dedicated team to help with state licensing & renewals
  • Weekly Direct Deposit
  • $1,000 Referral Bonus + $250 Bonus for Your Referral

Resources for this Occupational Therapy job in Jackson

Explore Jackson, MI

A Michigan stay can combine established rehabilitation communities with the pleasures of life near the Great Lakes. Grand Rapids is a center for inpatient rehabilitation after serious injury or illness, with outpatient physical therapy extending into other Michigan communities. This connects specialized hospital recovery with care closer to patients’ homes, across both urban and smaller community settings. Grand Rapids offers art and neighborhood dining; Ann Arbor has bookstores and university performances; Detroit brings an influential musical history and major museums. Along Lake Michigan, beach towns and dunes create a separate summer destination. Northern Michigan adds orchards and small waterfront communities, while the Upper Peninsula has a more remote character. The two peninsulas cover considerable ground, so the nearest lakeshore and surrounding towns often shape the everyday experience.
