Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill patients requiring continuous hemodynamic monitoring and frequent reassessment
- Titrate vasoactive, sedation, and other high-alert drips as ordered and per facility protocol
- Care for mechanically ventilated patients and manage critical care devices, including arterial and central lines
- Respond to clinical deterioration and participate in codes and rapid responses
Travel ICU Requirements:
- 2+ years of recent ICU experience.
- Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Texas and national regulatory bodies.

Requirements vary by ICU type, so facilities typically want your recent experience to closely match the patient population, devices, and level of care on the assignment.
Do I need to apply for a Texas nursing license for this travel nurse assignment?
Not if you already hold an active Texas RN license or an active multistate RN license—Texas participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
