FAQs – Travel Occupational Therapy Jobs Near Arlington, TX

What certifications are required for travel Occupational Therapy jobs?
Facilities typically require current NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR), along with BLS certification. You also need authorization to practice in the assignment’s state. Your recruiter can confirm exact requirements for this position.
How much experience do I need for a travel Occupational Therapy assignment?
Many travel OT assignments prefer at least one year of experience, ideally in the same setting as the job. Requirements vary, and some facilities consider therapists with less experience. Relevant skills include independently completing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing a daily caseload.
What licensing route covers this Texas travel OT contract?
Texas is not an OT Compact member, so an occupational therapist licensed elsewhere must obtain a Texas OT license before beginning this contract. Licensure by endorsement includes the Texas jurisprudence examination and fingerprinting. The state’s temporary license is limited to first-time NBCOT examination applicants, so it is not a bridge for an experienced OT applying with an existing out-of-state license. Confirm current fees, requirements, and application steps with the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Benefits

  • Day One Benefits, Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k)
  • Relocation and Travel Reimbursement
  • Dedicated team to help with state licensing & renewals
  • Weekly Direct Deposit
  • $1,000 Referral Bonus + $250 Bonus for Your Referral

Resources for this Occupational Therapy job in Arlington

Explore Arlington, TX

Texas gives therapy travelers both major rehabilitation resources and a wide range of places to experience outside work. Houston’s medical community includes specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation after complex injuries and illness, with research closely connected to recovery care. The city also offers international neighborhoods, museums, and a food scene that rewards exploring beyond its central districts. Elsewhere, San Antonio’s missions and riverfront tell a different story, Austin has an enduring music culture, and Dallas-Fort Worth combines major arts institutions with Western heritage. Hill Country towns, Gulf beaches, and the desert landscapes around Big Bend are separate regional draws. Texas is too large for every attraction to be a casual outing, but that scale allows a stay to take on a distinctly coastal, urban, or inland character.
