Explore Waco, TX

Along the Brazos River, Waco, TX anchors the Heart of Texas, a midsize city in McLennan County that has drawn fresh attention as a travel destination. CT, MRI, and therapy work spreads across a metro of roughly a quarter-million, with Baylor University and the Magnolia development at the Silos shaping a good deal of downtown. The city sits on I-35 at its crossing with US-84, almost exactly halfway between Dallas and Austin, about ninety miles from each. Cameron Park stretches along the Brazos with cliffs and trails, and the Dr Pepper story started here in 1885. For a bigger airport or specialized care, Dallas and Austin are each a ninety-minute drive up or down I-35.
