FAQs – Travel CT Tech Jobs Near Franklin, WI

What certifications and credentials are required for travel CT Tech jobs?
ARRT (CT) is a common requirement; some employers accept NMTCB (CT). ARRT (CT) requires a supporting credential in radiography, nuclear medicine technology, or radiation therapy. Additional requirements include BLS and a state imaging license or certification.
Is X-Ray experience enough to qualify for a travel CT Tech position?
Usually, facilities want recent hands-on CT experience in addition to a radiography background. Travelers should be prepared to show that they have worked independently in CT and are comfortable with the pace, patient populations, and responsibilities expected in the department. Recent CT experience is especially important for travel roles where orientation may be limited.
Do travel CT Tech jobs require IV and contrast experience?
Many hospital CT assignments include contrast-enhanced imaging and may look for experience with IV starts, power injectors, contrast administration, and contrast-reaction procedures. CT certification alone does not authorize every contrast-related responsibility, so permitted duties can depend on state rules, facility policy, required supervision, and documented competency.
How is the cardiac program developing at Ascension Franklin Hospital in Franklin, Wisconsin?
Cardiac care spans interventional cardiology, catheterization, electrophysiology, and a cardiac ICU, with the program expanding across southern Milwaukee and northern Racine counties — a growing caseload for cath-lab and cardiovascular techs.
What surgical work runs at Ascension Franklin Hospital?
Surgical techs at Ascension Franklin work robotic-assisted and minimally invasive cases, backed by on-site imaging, lab, and rehabilitation.
What emergency imaging would CT techs see at Franklin Hospital?
An accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center connected to the system's Comprehensive Stroke Center, with a Level IV Trauma Center, anchor the emergency imaging.
