Missouri's CT market is bookended by two cities. St. Louis on the eastern side and Kansas City on the western edge each anchor hospital radiology and trauma centers running ER, inpatient, and cardiac CT, while Springfield and the regional towns add outpatient work. Missouri doesn't license radiologic technologists at the state level, so there's no state CT credential, employers set the bar with the ARRT credential and, for CT, the ARRT(CT) post-primary. The state employs several thousand radiologic techs across the broad category, at a concentration above the national average, so a traveler's choice commonly comes down to which side of the state fits, then the setting and shift within it.
