Boise and Twin Falls show two sides of rehabilitation in Idaho, with inpatient programs and outpatient therapy serving communities across the southern part of the state. Around these southern communities, river valleys give way to high desert and mountains. Boise offers a lively downtown and a river corridor woven into the city. Farther east, the Snake River’s canyons create a striking backdrop, while central Idaho is known for mountain lakes, skiing, and rafting. Northern Idaho brings forested shores around Coeur d’Alene and other lakes. The state’s agricultural regions add farm stands and local food to the experience. Summer favors water and mountain outings, while winter is ski season.
