How much ER experience do I need for this travel assignment?

Depending on the facility, experience with triage, trauma, pediatric patients, or high-volume emergency departments may also be preferred. Click “I’m Interested” to connect with a recruiter about assignment-specific requirements.
Will North Carolina accept my multistate RN license for this assignment?
Yes—North Carolina is a Nurse Licensure Compact state, so an active multistate RN license covers this assignment. Nurses without compact privilege can apply for licensure by endorsement through the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Our North Carolina Nursing License Guide has current fees, timelines, and step-by-step instructions.
Which service lines shape RN assignments at Frye Regional Medical Center?
Frye Regional organizes care around defined centers — the Frye Heart Center, Brain Center, Cancer Center, and Lung Center — plus general and vascular surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, and advanced orthopedics, so RNs work specialty-aligned units within a 355-bed community hospital.
What maternity and newborn nursing does Frye Regional Medical Center provide?
Frye Regional's Women's Center includes a Level III NICU, giving labor-and-delivery, mother-baby, and neonatal RNs a defined obstetric and newborn track.
How does Frye Regional Medical Center's Duke heart affiliation shape cardiac nursing?
Frye Regional is the first Duke Health heart affiliate in western North Carolina, connecting its Frye Heart Center to Duke cardiac expertise — useful context for cardiac and telemetry nurses.
What range of nursing settings exists at Frye Regional Medical Center?
Beyond acute floors, Frye Regional runs a 32-bed emergency department, a 29-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, and an 81-bed adult behavioral-health hospital at its South Campus, spanning emergency, rehab, and psychiatric nursing.
Which charting platform does Frye Regional Medical Center use for nurses?
Frye Regional, part of Duke LifePoint Healthcare, does not publicly name its inpatient clinical EMR. Because LifePoint hospitals run varied platforms, confirm the specific charting system with the unit or agency before an assignment.
