Responsibilities

  • Screen patients, visitors, and equipment for MRI safety, including implants and ferromagnetic objects
  • Position patients and select the appropriate coils and imaging sequences for each study
  • Administer gadolinium contrast when ordered, following facility protocol
  • Obtain diagnostic-quality images, adjusting parameters to manage motion and artifacts, and provide completed studies to radiologists

Travel MRI Tech Requirements:

  • 2+ years of recent MRI Tech experience.
  • Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Texas and national regulatory bodies.

BSA Hospital in Amarillo serves the Texas Panhandle with emergency care and inpatient and outpatient treatment. Its clinical programs span heart and vascular disease, stroke, surgery, childbirth and neonatal intensive care.

Diagnostic imaging includes CT, MRI, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. A biplane imaging laboratory supports interventional assessment and treatment of blockages and aneurysms.

Heart care combines coronary angioplasty and transcatheter aortic valve replacement with cardiac surgery, while diagnostic services include cardiac MRI, CT angiography and intravascular ultrasound.

The hospital is a Primary Plus Stroke Center certified by the healthcare accreditor DNV, with 24/7 access to interventional radiologists in dedicated biplane suites.

Inpatient and outpatient surgery covers colorectal, orthopedic, thoracic and spine conditions, with robotic and minimally invasive techniques available for selected procedures.

The women's center includes an on-site high-risk pregnancy unit and a Level III NICU for premature and medically fragile newborns.
