Explore Pahala, HI

Deep in the Big Island's rural Ka'u district sits Pahala, HI, an old sugar town where coffee farms now climb the volcano's lower slopes and healthcare runs on remote island scale. Open contracts here center on clinic and community coverage for the island's least-visited coast, suited best to RNs who are comfortable working with self-reliance. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park opens about forty minutes northeast, close enough for repeat visits all contract long. Punalu'u's famous black-sand beach spreads fifteen minutes east, where sea turtles haul out on the lava-dark shore most afternoons. A rental search is scarce and arranged best well ahead. Ka'u coffee has quietly earned a devoted following among those who know it, and the farm tastings nearby show exactly why.
